Beverly Daly

Obituary of Beverly Daly

The family of Beverly Daly wishes to share a loving tribute to “Aunt Bev” in celebration of her remarkable life.  Beverly was born in Brooklyn, New York on August 10, 1940 and spent her youth in Sarasota, Florida.  Bev, and her loving sister, Marylou, were raised by Gladys and Joseph Marchetta in a traditional Italian home, surrounded by many uncles, aunts and cousins.  Family get togethers, usually with delicious pasta and rich sauces served, were the norm.  Bev was an excellent student from an early age, and showed a strong interest in history, eventually graduating from Florida State University with a history degree.  While at FSU Bev was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority.  Upon graduation Beverly moved to Miami and eventually to Panama to begin a career as a bilingual flight attendant.

Bev will be missed by her extended family.  She leaves behind her loving sister Marylou, her niece Carolyn (Russ) and nephews Rob (Kim) and John (Carrie).  In total Bev has 8 great nieces and nephews; Josh, Lauren, Ethan, David, Emma, Rodes, Russell and Kelly.  She also had the joy of meeting her first great-grand niece, Ruth, born in 2022.

Bev loved animals, and cared for many during her life.  Bev adopted stray and feral cats, having them fixed and either finding them homes or caring for them herself.  She leaves behind squeaker, Timmy and Sunshine.

Bev was an active member of Palma Ceia Presbyterian Church in Tampa, and loved Pastor John’s sermons.  She was a strong Christian and had a firm belief in being reunited with her lord and savior after death.
