Obituary of Edward Frank Thomas, Jr.

Edward Frank Thomas, Jr. passed away on June 8, 2023.  He will be forever remembered as a true gentleman who told interesting and detailed stories about his experiences throughout his life.

Ed (Frank) was born in Pensacola and joined the Army to serve our country during Vietnam.  He was stationed in Thailand where he met his beloved wife, Bonnie whom he had been married to for 55 years.  They made a home and created a family in Tampa where he lived for over 50 years.  He was incredibly proud of his daughters Patricia and Catherine.

Ed (Frank) loved history, fishing, big band music, the USF Bulls, his country and most importantly his wife and family.  He loved to “tinker” around with projects.  He loved to research how to “fix” things and discover how things worked, especially machinery.  He was loved by everyone who met him. He was part of a loving community of family and friends.

Ed (Frank) worked as an auditor before retiring and was an active member of his church.

Ed (Frank) is survived by his wife Bonnie, daughters Patricia Alexander (Hani) and Catherine Barton (Greg) and his 5 grandchildren. He was loved by his siblings Greg Thomas (Cindy Thomas), Sarah Thomas and William Thomas. He was also loved by his numerous cousins as well as extended nieces and nephews.
